Debra Chang
Debra is experienced in teaching piano lessons and music classes to all age groups from young children to adults. She also performs as a jazz pianist, vocalist, and Hammond B3 organist with Jazz Friends, which features jazz in a variety of styles, including bossas, blues, ballads, standards, and swing.
Debra has been teaching the
Well-Prepared Pianist, an innovative curriculum that emphasizes multi-sensory learning, the ability to work independently, and the development of permanent pianistic skills and musicianship since February 2006.
Debra received her Bachelor of Music in Composition and her Bachelor of Arts in Ethnomusicology at the University of Hawaii.
She received her Doctor of Musical Arts in Composition and her Master of Music in Composition at the University of North Texas.
