Shirley Carlson instructs beginning and intermediate piano students of varied ages. She received her BA in Music majoring in Piano from San Francisco State University. Additional studies include: advanced piano at the E. Robert SSchmitz Piano school in San Francisco, teaching methods with Professor C. W. Reid, teacher, composer and methods innovator; graduate school studies at U. C. Berkeley Music Department.
Mrs. Carlson directs informal programs and demonstrations about music education for parents, students and teachers. She is currently teaching keyboard/piano classes for boys and girls at the North Berkeley Piano School in Berkeley, California.
